Beach wear for kids can be found at a number of different sites on the internet. A great site to visit is the all weather baby store. They don't just have stuff for the summer but also for the winter, spring & fall.

Summer clothes can be essential for younger children to ensure they are not getting burned by the summer rays. Hooded towels play a big part in the skin protection. They also double as a towel which you can use in your home to ensure the child does not get cold when they get out of the bath or shower.

For a little guy, there is hooded towels and umbrellas which are attached to chairs and some with poles which can be buried into the sand. These work well for making the sand a little cooler for your feet as well as your children's delicate feet. Shoes are a great thing to put on younger children to ensure their feet do not get burned. Crocs are a good idea because they are soft and not slippery.

A lot of parents like to buy the name brand items for their children because they think they hold up a little longer than something which is generic. The cost can sometimes be high. But, when you look on the internet, you can almost always find something that is very affordable and name brands like Crocs, Havaianas and Hatley.

All weather baby store is a great place to start your search when you are looking for something for your toddler or infant.

Top 5 Brands Of Swimwear For Toddlers

Coolibar UPF 50+ Boy's Speed Racer Swim Romper - Sun Protection

Buying clothes for your little ones can be fun but it can be expensive too. By looking at various brands on the internet you can get a good idea of prices and pick up some great deals too. But you have to know what you are buying to make sure you choose good quality. Encouraging your toddler to get into the water and then learn to swim is a great thing to do during the hot weather. If he/she is reluctant perhaps some snazzy beachwear will make the idea more appealing. And do not forget the sun. Getting a little tanned may be fine but too much is definitely bad news. Here are the top 5 brands of swimwear for toddlers.

Parents are happy when their children are out in the fresh air and playing in the water. Having bought her son a Speedo rashguard on Amazon, one Mom said proudly, 'My son loves to swim in this shirt'. Speedo, of course, is well known in the trade for its quality and reliability.

Little girls love lots of frills and furbelows. You can find some really pretty little one piece and two piece outfits online which will gladden your little princess's heart. Look out for Flapdoodles for the nicest selection of frilly swimsuits you can imagine. As one Mom said on Amazon, 'very cute and bright and fits her well'.

Speedo Girls 2-6x Zebra Tankini With Ruffle 2 Piece Swimsuit

Boys will be boys and even toddlers can be adventurous. Kitting them out in swimming trunks and UV tops means that however long they may be out in the sun exploring they will at least be protected from the sun. Kanu Surf's range of checked or striped shorts along with long or short sleeved T-shirts should meet with the approval of even the most fashion conscious young man. 'A functional swimsuit' says one parent who bought on Amazon and was pleased to have delivery in 24 hours.

For your little mermaid you might like to consider a full body cover-up from Coolibar. Knee length or ankle length these are very comfortable while being very protective. They also make a range of sun protective wear for boys and so do Tuga. Several parents have commented on Amazon that they would rather spend money these suits and sets than buying sun blocker and sunscreen since they do not much like using these products on their kids skin anyway because of the chemicals they contain.

Flapdoodles Toddler Girls Ruffle Blossom Bikini Two Piece Suit

There is a fantastic range of swimwear you can buy for your kids online. Swimsuits, two piece suits, bikinis and tankinis, trunks and swimming shorts and now a whole range of sun protective gear too is available. However it would seem that parents do have a bit of trouble getting swimsuits to fit the little ones. Perhaps they do not make use of the excellent sizing charts that are available. Perhaps kids just do not come in standard sizes like adults seem to do more frequently.

Almost the only problem parents seem to have with buying swimwear for their kids online is fit. There are excellent charts to help them but perhaps small children do not quite fit into standard sizes the way older ones or adults do. Either they are too thin or too tall and the T-shirts and shorts do not meet or the swimsuit straps are too tight or too loose. If they lose their shape after one or two washes that is another problem.

Tuga UPF 50+ Boys Low Tide Short Sleeve Sunsuit (UV Sun Protective)

A great advantage to buying online is that you can find swimwear all year round. This is very convenient if you are planning a winter break in the tropics. Kids grow so fast last year's swimsuits just will not do at all. This article presented the top 5 brands of swimwear for toddlers.

Get more information and details about the top 5 brands of swimwear for toddlers today! You can find complete and comprehensive kids swimwear
reviews and how to choose a fashionable suit for your toddler.

Where To Go To Find The Greatest Range Of Wetsuits For Kids

Wetsuit-Kids Shorty Wetsuit by Konfidence

Wetsuits for kids are a great way for children to enjoy their water sports throughout the year. Kids love the water. By wearing a wetsuit, kids can enjoy the water and continue to hone their skills even when the conditions may be cold.

At allweatherbabystore, a host of high quality, great value wetsuits are available in all styles and weights. While the main reason for using these is to provide insulation, they also have some buoyancy. Giving protection against abrasion is another reason for using these garments. These are well worth considering in such countries as the United Kingdom where the coldness of the weather and the water precludes the year-long enjoyment of water sports. Whether it is snorkeling, yachting, diving or swimming, a wetsuit will enable your child to stay in the water much longer than otherwise.

There is a range of children's wetsuits available. Each is manufactured for a separate use and for different temperature ranges. The suits are often made of foamed neoprene. The thickness of the suit varies. Thicker suits give more insulation therefore keeping the wearer warmer. However because a thick material may restrict free movement of the limbs, a thinner material may be used for the sleeves and legs of garments. The body may have a thickness of, say, 4mm while the limb thickness is only 3mm. This is described in advertisements as '4/3'.

Atlan Kids 3/2mm Wetsuit - Full

Early versions of the wetsuit were seamed by overlapping and sewing. Water would enter through the punching holes making the region along the seams very cold. There was also a tendency for the suit to tear along the perforations.

Seams are now blind-stitched. A special curved needle picks up only part of the fabric, leaving the top surface intact. This results in flat seams and no leaking of water through seam holes. This has replaced taping (which was often applied over stitching), and gluing which didn't always give a strong bond.

One of the great value garments available at allweatherbabystore is the Shorty Wetsuit manufactured under the Konfidence label. This 'shortie' is available in four sizes. Children from four to ten can be fitted with this top quality neoprene suit. Flatlock stitching eliminates seam ridges and gives good comfort. Sleeves stop just above the elbows. Although shortie costumes may have long or short legs, this model has short legs. The design is specifically for children so the fit gives good comfort.

Henderson Child Thermoprene 3mm Shorty Scuba Diving Wetsuit

The Atlan Kids model is a full suit and great for snorkeling. It is a good choice for colder locations. It is described as a 3/2mm and, like many of the newer suits, has underarm gussets. The neck is adjustable so a close fit is ensured. Sizes range from four to twelve.

For a less bulky option, the Henderson Child model is made from Thermoprene 3mm material. The compression resistance of this material will keep its wearer warm even after a number of dives. The garment also has good stretching properties. A back zipper allows ease of donning and removing the garments. Seams are first glued then blind-stitched.

If you need wetsuits for kids you would be well advised to explore the many options at allweatherbabystore available in store now.

Finding The Appropriate Rainwear For Kids Is What Customers Should Always Have In Mind

Its not always easy to find nice rainwear for kids. The reason it is hard to get is because children grow at a fast pace. A solution to this issue would be finding one that has some growing room in it. They do make rain coats that have some stretch to them but they are not easy to find.

It is very important for your daughter or son to have a waterproof coat because they could end up sick without one. If it’s cold outside and raining, the chances of them getting a cold are pretty high. This is why it is important to find waterproof coats that have an insulated lining inside of them. The lining will keep them warm similar to a winter coat keeping someone warm.

One thing that can be done is looking online for rain jackets. The internet is a great place to research information on clothing and other items. There are good waterproof coats on the market that do have some stretch to them, but you will most likely not be able to find them in your local store. This is why it would be best to look online.

All you need to do is select a search engine and type in what you would like out of a rain coat. It would be wise to keep your keywords simple because a computer will struggle to find exactly what you are looking for if you get too specific. If you are looking for a rain coat for children that has some stretch to it, simply search for waterproof children’s coat with stretch.

If you need one that is fairly inexpensive and cannot find one on your average shopping site, try a classified website. A large amount of classified websites offer the luxury of being able to post ads for absolutely free. This is an awesome way to find what you need and sell your unwanted items.

It would be a great idea to look in the free section of these websites because many people will post clothing for free because they do not want the extra space to be taken up by unwanted items. You could also ask your friends and family members if they have any that their sons or daughters are no longer using.

These stores are great because you can find amazing deals for next to nothing. You could easily find a rain coat for your child or grandchild for a few dollars. Often times they run sales and discount needed items to a very low price. You could easily visit one of these locations on a discounted day and come home with a large amount of clothes for less than ten dollars.

These are just a few tips on rainwear for kids that could definitely come in handy. A rain jacket happens to be one of the hardest clothing items to pick out for children for several reasons. Hopefully these tips have given you some insight and will benefit you in the future. A rain coat is definitely a necessity for those who live in areas that rain on a normal basis.

Locating attractive and durable rainwear for kids is simple and convenient when you know where to search. You can learn more about styles and costs of childrens waterproofs by accessing the rainwear section at the allweatherbabystore.

Things to Consider When Choosing Kids Luggage On Wheels

For a lot of children their first vacation can be the most exciting. What can be even more exciting is if they have their own suitcase. While they may want bright colours or brands featuring favourite cartoon characters you need to ensure that the Kids Luggage On Wheels you choose for them also suits practical requirements as well.

Another benefit is back problems. While this is something that we often associate with older people this can happen with children as well. The problem often occurs because parents use backpacks rather than suitcases for their children. This can put more pressure on them.

In order to ensure that they are effective you need to make sure you get the right type. It can be tempting to save money by buying ones with cheaper plastic wheels. The problem with these is that they are more likely to fall off or get damaged. A better alternative is to use ones with ball bearing as they will move more easily and are less likely to get damaged.

Another thing to consider is the material they are made from. Ideally it should be both tear and water resistant. Being tear resistant is important as it can be harder to be careful looking after something while running very quickly. Water resistance can be a benefit if you are travelling somewhere with heavy rainfall and you want to protect the contents inside. If possible see if you can go to a local store and put items inside so that you can properly test them.

As with a lot of products designed for children there are a lot of different designs to appeal to their creativity and sense of fun. They often come in bright colours that look attractive and differentiate them from the ones that their parents have. There is also the additional benefit that they are more clearly visible if you are getting them from an airport luggage carousel.

The material is also an important consideration. Tear resistant material will make it more durable. This is ideal for camping or any trips where you are likely to do a lot of travelling. This is equally true of items that are water resistant, particularly if you are going somewhere where it is likely to rain.

A lot of cases like this will also be pull along as well. Ideally the handle should look when it is extended. This should mean that it does not slide while it is being pulled along. Younger children may require help learning how to do this in order to ensure that they can pull it along and put the handle back in when it is finished.

You can find a number of different Kids Luggage On Wheels on the internet. If you want to get the best one for your children it is best to look at a variety of customer reviews on the internet. This will help you to get feedback from a number of different people and help you to find the ideal one to suit your requirements.

You can buy childrens suitcases via the Internet right now! Visit our online superstore to view our selection of kids luggage on wheels today.

Can kids UV swimwear really protect them?

We need to be particularly careful with children and their sun exposure. According to the World Health Organisation frequent sun exposure and sunburn in childhood appears to set the stage for higher rates of melanoma (skin cancer) in later life. Furthermore, we get about 80% of our UV exposure by the time we are 21 years.

Kids UV swimwear protects babies and children from the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays at home and when on holiday abroad. UVA accounts for 95% of the UV radiation reaching the earth’s surface; it can penetrate deeper layers of skin than UVB and is responsible for immediate tanning. UVB is responsible for delayed tanning and burning, in addition to these short term effects it enhances skin ageing and significantly promotes the development of skin cancer.

To reduce the risks of sun damage to our children we must shade them whenever possible, it is recommended that children under 1 year should be kept out of the sun altogether. Older babies, toddlers and children should wear sun protective clothing, sun hats, sun glasses and sunscreen of SPF 15+.

Some brands of kids UV swimwear offer the maximum protection available, with a UPF 50+ rating, which means they block out over 97.5% of all UVA and UVB radiation. Two great examples of these would be “Coolibar” UV sunsuits and “Baby Banz” kids swimwear.

The “Coolibar infant mermaid swim romper”, for example, is an all in one sunsuit with UPF50+ sun protection, with a pretty skirt in a bright and colourful design, so fun for little girls to wear. Sunburn free and rash free, extremely comfortable and dries quickly once wet. The sunsuit is easy to take on and off and change a diaper with snappers that close around the inside leg. With long sleeves and legs you just need to ensure that your little one has sun cream regularly applied to the face and feet.

coolibar sunsuit.jpgbabybanz sunsuit.jpg

The “Baby Banz one piece sun protection swimsuit” is another great quality brand of kids UV swimwear. Originally designed in Australia for one of the world toughest environments, Baby Banz SPF50+ fabric has been approved by the Melanoma International Foundation. The swimsuits are loose fitting for your child’s comfort, ¾ length sleeves to provide maximum protection and comfort. Also easy to take on and off with a front zipper, and a zipper closure on the leg inseam for easy access to change diapers. In a bright and colourful two tone panel design and a design screen printed on the reverse.

The bold prints and vibrant colours of the swimwear are also useful for keeping your children identifiable at a distance when on the beach and in busy swimming pools.

Protect your children this summer with a trusted name in kids UV swimwear, choose from the best brands, in a range of colourful designs for both girls and boys all available to buy at www.allweatherbabystore.com. Give yourself peace of mind knowing that as your little one is running around in the sun their skin is protected from the harmful UV rays. Complete their protection with a sunhat, sunglasses and plenty of sunscreen. It’s up to us as parents to take responsibility as our kids are unaware of the dangers!

The newest in Booster Seats for Toddlers

The “Bubblebum” inflatable booster seat is the latest in-car creation to hit the market place.

The UK law regarding car safety for children states that any child under the age of 12 must be strapped into a car seat or booster seat.

The purpose of this booster seat for toddlers is to elevate a child to the correct seating position and to ensure they are fitted securely when seated in the car. The “Bubblebum” differs from other booster seats in that it can be transported easily from the back of the car to a small and compact carry case that you can take with you on holiday, in taxis, coach trips, hire cars and can easily fit into school bags, handbags or rucksacks. It also fits neatly into your hand luggage when flying.

bubblebum.jpg

Easily inflatable by way of a twist valve, and deflates by opening the valve and rolling up flat into the case. Lightweight, weighing less than half a kilo so kids can easily carry it themselves. Comes in a bright Purple with gold trim in a versatile, yet hard wearing and comfortable fabric that is surface washable. Suitable for ages 3 to 11 years.

The many big pluses of the Bubblebum are in its size and weight, because of this design many travellers have found that when hiring a car on holiday the cost of also renting a car seat can be £2/3 per day which if you are on a 10 day break is the cost of the Bubblebum and therefore money that can be spent on your holiday. As mentioned before the Bubblebum fits neatly into hand luggage on a flight, you can also fit it into a taxi, great for family use when with their grandparents. Due to its small size, it is easy to fit 3 car seats in a row along the back seat of a car, the Bubblebum being fitted in between two standard car seats.

Children may find this more comfortable than the standard booster seat for toddlers, as they can be hard plastic that kids may need a cushion if on a long journey and plastic can be very slippy which can cause children to slip about on the seat. This inflatable invention stays inflated for hours after being sat on. Once deflated it can be stored in the boot of a car, even in the smallest of spaces.

The only complaint could be that for children under 4 years the seat may not raise them high enough that the seat belt digs into their neck instead of lying across the body. Until your child is tall enough one of the plastic booster seats for toddlers may be an ideal choice. Colourful, fun, lightweight, easy to carry, easy to inflate and deflate, compact for storage and taking wherever you want, the “Bubblebum” is an ingenious invention. Visit www.allweatherbabystore.com/travel-bottle-warmers to get your next booster seat.

Complaint about Sunshade for Buggy.

strolleraccs.jpg

When our son Sebastian was born myself and my husband invested in a good strong and sturdy stroller, a well known and respected brand as well as being modern and stylish. This stroller has been amazing through all weathers and through every stage of Sebastian’s growth. However, we weren’t given a sunshade for buggy when we bought the stroller, and so when it came to late spring time we were going to need one.

This make of stroller does have its own sunshade that you can purchase through stockists of this brand. That being said, I was walking into town with Sebastian in the stroller and saw in a major children’s retailer a sunshade for buggy stating, “Universal Buggy Parasol”, it was also black which was great as our stroller is black and grey. This parasol was much cheaper than the branded one that was made for our stroller and so I bought it.

Big mistake, it was terrible, the clip didn’t fit anywhere on the buggy securely and the sunshade kept tilting and falling on top of Sebastian, I took it back to the store, and in fairness they gave me a full refund with no questions asked.

I then went over to see a friend a few days later, and she had the most beautiful sunshade for buggy I had ever seen, so colourful and stylish, a good size that provided great sun protection and it suited her stroller even though it was a different brand altogether. She bought this online, the “ShadyBaby” Universal Stroller Parasol. Needless to say I have purchased one also.

The ShadyBaby Universal Stroller Parasol is as it says, Universal, it will fit on strollers with round, oval or square tubes. It is made with UPF 50+fabric and is a 28” diameter parasol offering great sun protection. The fabric is thick and of good quality as well as being water repellent so this can be used on rainy days. Adjustable in three places to block the sun from any direction, this parasol is easy to attach and remove, it has a quick release mechanism and the clamp stays in place for storage and no need to reassemble on every use.

The ShadyBaby parasol can also be used on many wheelchairs, portable cribs, swings and folding chairs. These stylish, bold and vibrant parasols are competitively priced and come in a selection of colours.

The company, based in Denver, Colorado in the US is the mastermind of a young couple. The story goes that when travelling around the world together some years ago to such places as Thailand and Vietnam they used a Parasol, as did the locals, to shade themselves from the strong sun. When visiting Europe they noticed how most of the strollers had sunshades and all kinds of parasols to protect their children. On returning to the US they were horrified to see that parents were using insufficient shades, blankets and all manner of protectors that were not doing the job and in many cases no effort to protect their children at all. The idea for ShadyBaby was born.

It is essential if you have children that you ensure they are well protected from the harmful rays of the sun. As well as using sun cream, a sun hat, UV clothing or breathable clothing, providing plenty of drinking water, parents need to ensure that children, especially young babies are kept out of the sun and protection is provided when walking about. So, not only do you need a sunshade for buggy, but ensure that you find a good quality sunshade. Why not take a look at ShadyBaby parasols on offer by visiting www.allweatherbabystore.com and rest assured that your little one is well protected this summer, come rain or shine.

Child Swimming Aids Could Save Their Lives

Water can be dangerous in what ever form it takes, whether as a bath, in the swimming pool, the sea or even as a small bucket of tap water. The reality of drowning sadly occurs every year and at any time of the year, however children are more likely to be victims during the summer months.

Children love the water, playing in the pool, in the sea, at boating lakes and even messing about in the bath. These all come with their own dangers and these dangers can be heightened or lessened depending on our attitudes as parents and adults towards water safety.

These essential precautions can be broken down into four main areas:

1) Wearing the appropriate safety gear, e.g. child swimming aids, life jacket.

2) Education- your children are never too young to start to learn about water safety.

3) Ensuring safety measures are in place – boundaries, clear signage, and life saving equipment to hand.

4) Adult supervision – this is key and probably the most important point of all.

The majority of boat related accidents could have been prevented if the victim had been wearing a life jacket, similarly in a swimming pool – child swimming aids for young children and a floatation swimsuit can help save their lives by keeping them afloat for those vital few more seconds that it takes an adult to reach them.

Adults can make children aware of the dangers of water by educating them on what could happen and modelling safe behaviour and wearing the appropriate clothing. When boating or participating in water sports always wear a life jacket. Teach your child to swim as young as possible, they could help save their own lives. Stress the importance of rules, for example, never enter the water without mummy or daddy.

Adults need to install all the necessary protection around the home. Use door locks, on indoor pools use door alarms, pool alarms, barriers, clear signage and have safety equipment visible. Keeping bikes and toys away from the pool, these can easily cause a slip or trip. Store toys away when not in use. First aid, CPR and water awareness are useful and potentially life saving skills to have.

Parents can be over confident about their child’s ability in and around water. Adults can get easily distracted talking or engaging in any activity, taking their attention away from the child. Even a bucket full of water a child can fall into head first. Parents and adults must keep a constant eye on their children, always know where they are, and never leave them unattended.

Ask yourself, does your child have every thing need to be safe in the water? What about swimming lessons, how confident are they in the water? Can you make a difference? Arm bands and child swimming aids are essential in the pool but they do not replace adult supervision. If you’re looking for a life jacket, arm bands, floats, or swim accessories visit http://www.allweatherbabystore.com

Is Your Sun Protection For Kids Really Working?

It has been the focus of recent news that a good number of sunscreens for children are not delivering the protection they claim. As I’m sure every parent is aware that sun protection for kids is extremely important as children are exposed to greater doses of UV than adults. They spend more time outside and therefore more time in direct sunlight.

In Britain, although we don’t always have sunshine, we have the highest skin cancer rate in Europe. Parents therefore need to take some blame. Children should always have sunscreen applied before going out into the sun. Most parents would admit to never or rarely applying sunscreen before their children go to school during the summer months.

However it’s not just parents that are responsible when it comes to sun protection for kids. What about the companies that are producing the sun creams? Can we trust them? At www.goodguide.com they have tested over 100 different baby sun creams and ranked them according to three main categories:

1) Health- Whether or not the product has any ingredients that raise a concern

2) Environment – If the company uses a minimal amount of energy to produce the product. This covers such things as waste management, global warming, air pollution and toxic waste.

3) Society- The commitment to the local community, for example, a local and diverse workforce.

The results make for some concerning reading. So many of these sun creams contain chemicals that the average non medically trained person wouldn’t have a clue if it was potentially hazardous to our health or not. We as parents trust the companies that make these products to produce safe and effective sun protection for kids.

Others scored low on environmental grounds, producing products that are not able to be reused or recycled, the packaging is not safe for the environment and neither are the methods used to produce it. There are also those companies trying to save money on labour and so out source to other countries, this is obviously where jobs are denied to the local workforce.

I digress, but the most important fact here is that Parents need to think about what sun cream to purchase to ensure that their child is properly protected under the sun. Here are some simple do’s and don’ts when looking for the right sun protection for kids.

Do’s

·         Children’s sunscreen should always have minimum SPF of 30 – look for even higher protection for babies and toddler.

·         Look for sunscreen with an insect and bug repellent.

·         Sun sticks are a good idea as they are easy to apply and less messy, children often enjoy using these themselves too.

·         If your child suffers from eczema or has sensitive skin, then look for a natural sunscreen or something with minimal chemical exposure.

Don’ts

·         Don’t pick up the first sunscreen you see of the one that is the cheapest or on special offer. Remember this is a child’s health at risk.

·         Don’t think that thick sun creams are better as they cause a coat on the skin’s surface and that blocks out the sun, as well as not being easy to apply, the coat on the surface of the skin is not protecting their skin as it hasn’t sunk into the skin.

·         Sunscreen doesn’t need to say waterproof, some sunscreens make that claim only to fail. Whether you opt for a waterproof sunscreen or not, you must ensure that sunscreen is reapplied after swimming as you can never be sure it won’t wash off.

As parents we can follow these few basic steps and make sure we are looking after our children in the sun and educating them about the dangers of sun exposure. Sun protection for kids also means keeping them in the shade whenever possible, getting them to wear a sunhat, UV swimwear or protective clothing, wearing sun glasses and using parasols or a UV beach tent to shade under. All of these items including one of the top scoring sunscreens on the good guide’s study, namely “ California Baby SPF 30 + Citronella“ are available at www.allweatherbabystore.com .

Have you tried Kids Swim Fins?

Snorkelling is essentially an activity where you can get a clear view of life underwater, whether in the sea or the pool. When snorkelling in the sea you can swim close to all sorts of marine life, for example, shoals of small fishes, beautiful sea plants and coral.

Safety precautions are essential whether snorkelling in the pool or the sea. Floatation vests and other child swimming aids such as arm bands for babies and toddlers are highly recommended. Which equipment to use is dependent on the child’s age and capabilities in the water.

Snorkelling is a great activity to get kids used to the water, as well as making it fun. Kids learn to use their legs and feet to move them along and maintain the correct body position while learning breathing techniques using a snorkel and mask.

So to snorkel you need a mask, a snorkel and flippers. It is advised that children practice wearing the equipment in the pool or even at home in the bath tub before venturing into the sea. It goes without saying that parents should always be supervising their child at all times.

Swim fins are flippers designed especially for kids. They are small fins that are comfortable and easy to move in, whether in or out of the water. The flipper being small can cut through the water with less effort than a larger rigid fin. They help to strengthen the child’s swimming ability, body position and overall confidence in the water. They are very lightweight and have easy release straps around the ankle, usually Velcro for quick on and off, they are rubber, so very flexible yet durable.

I think it is sensible to say that snorkelling and introducing snorkelling equipment should only happen when your child has experienced being in the pool on several occasions and has learned how to use their legs to swim. Once they have learned to use various child swimming aids such as arm bands and kick floats, they can begin to understand how to maintain the correct body position and build up more confidence in the water. Swimming lessons or even parents taking their toddler swimming frequently is so beneficial and is such an enjoyable activity for both parent and child.

Then when you think they are old enough to try out a snorkel, mask and swim fins, take them every time you go to the pool and at bath time so they get use to the feel of the mask on their face, you can teach them how to breath through the snorkel and get them used to how the swim fins feel on their feet.

Speedo has a fantastic range of snorkel equipment for children. You are able to buy all the pieces separately or in a set. The” Speedo Kids Aqua Quest – mask, snorkel and fin set” is fun, functional, comfortable and fashionable and also good value.  The “Speedo Begin to swim kids swim fins” -ideal for your first pair, easy to take on and off, lightweight, fun and colourful. These are designed to teach the correct body position and technique. The “Speedo Junior Adventure Mask, Snorkel Fin Set” – a three piece set, for a slightly older more confident swimmer, colourful, fun and good value.

“Baby Banz” The Ultimate in Sun Protection for Kids.

We are being constantly reminded about the dangers to our children’s skin and health caused by over exposure to the sun.  Parents are aware of the skin damage that can be caused from over exposure and the various types of sun protection for kids that is available to prevent this.

As well as protecting kids skin with a good high SPF sunscreen, and reapplying every 2-3 hours and after swimming, using sun hats, UV swimwear and clothing, sunshades and parasols for buggies, beach tents and canopies for shade, their eyes are extremely sensitive and scientists have proves a direct link between sun damage to the retina and the development of cataracts. Protecting their eyes is therefore very important.

Baby Banz is one of the market leaders with regards to sun protection for kids. A company founded in Australia by a parent who was looking for a good pair of sunglasses for his child. As this was a difficult task he saw a gap in the market for good quality UV protective eyewear for children. Baby Banz was born in 2011 and today they make a range of sun protective products, including sun hats, UV swimwear and clothing, sunglasses as well as ski goggles, swim goggles, and winter hats.

The company ethos is to strive to preserve sensitive eyes and precious skin of little ones, now and for generations to come.

Baby Banz are practical and fashionable eye wear for babies, toddlers and kids. They are available in many colours and patterns, the lenses are made of UV protective polycarbonate encased in shatter resistant polycarbonate frames. The signature design feature of Baby Banz is the large strap that goes around the back of the head, almost like swim goggles. This large strap is made of Neoprene elastic and has Velcro adjustable sides.

The beauty of this type of sun protection for kids is in the cool design. The glasses are very comfortable and children enjoy wearing them. They may be a bit more expensive that other brands of eyewear but they are durable, they offer UV protection, they are flexible, breathable and comfortable, the child cannot throw them off and break them or drop them out of the pushchair as they are securely on their head. The added advantage of the adjustable strap is that there is quite a good length of excess strap that you can adjust the length for years to come and the sunglasses grow with the child. The frames are also made of shatter resistant polycarbonate.

These glasses were designed for the harshest of climates and have been rigorously tested by one of the worlds leading authorities on sunglasses. Baby Banz now come in two new design ranges as well as the original shape. Retro Banz are fashionable, oval shaped sunglasses available in many colours, Adventure Banz are a sporty, sleek design also available in a wide range of colours.

Choose Hatley Pyjamas for Kids.

When it comes to buying pyjamas for kids it is not an easy task. Of course you can purchase children’s pj’s in every hyper market, supermarket, high street and department store. However, I am talking about looking for good quality pyjamas, made from 100% cotton and a design that’s not available in every shop on the high street, something a bit different that is fun, colourful and stylish. I believe this is where Hatley knocks spots off the competition.

The story of Hatley’s beginnings is a heart warming, inspirational tale. Hatley is a family run business, starting over 20 years ago with husband and wife, John and Alice, who owned a gift shop in North Hatley, Canada (hence the company name). Alice painted farmyard animals and sold the pictures in a gallery above the gift shop. The paintings sold well and so John had the foresight to think bigger and make a line of aprons using the animal designs as an all over print. These also sold out quickly and so other gifts were developed and after a clothing range. The company is now run by the couple’s three sons, Chris, Nick and Jeremy who continue to take the company from strength to strength.

Today Hatley is a global brand, In the UK for example; the children’s raincoats and wellies are available in many children’s clothes stores as well as outdoor and country clothing outlets. I live in a small rural town called Ludlow in Shropshire in the UK, I can think of 3 places in the town where I can buy Hatley rainwear, it sells very well here and my son has the Tractor raincoat and the matching wellies.  The pyjamas for kids are harder to find and so I shop online for these, the prices are competitive and the quality is so good that they will wash and wash and as Hatley quite correctly state, can be passed on from one child to the next and next again.

So it is definitely worth ordering online if your local stores don’t sell them. The rainwear will never leak or perish. The pyjamas for kids will wear so well you’ll end up spending less in the long run than if you bought cheaper brands. Your kids will be wearing Hatley pyjamas for years while other brands will soon fall apart, become thin and worn with wash and wear.

There is such as huge range of pyjamas for kids at Hatley that you could have ten boys and they could all have 2 sets of pyjamas each and still be different from each other. Inspired by nature and wildlife, all over prints come in such designs as bears, moose, dinosaurs, elephants,  dogs, planes, tractors, knight and dragons and many more. Pyjamas come in both shorts with short sleeve tops and long sleeves with long pants, all snug fitting, 100% cotton, all over print with contrast cuff and elastic waist on bottoms.

My personal favourite pyjamas for kids are Boys Glow in the Dark Dinosaur set, long sleeve top and pants. The top has a large dinosaur on the front that glows in the dark and the pants have an all over dinosaur print. Colours are brown and green with contrast colour on cuffs. The Girls Spring Song Polo set, with long sleeve top and pants. These have a white background with an all over multi coloured bird and nature print with green cuffs.

If you want to take a look at either of my favourite pyjamas for kids or the fantastic, colourful and fun Hatley range available, then please visit www.allweatherbabystore.com and click on the nightwear section.

Patagonia kids ski clothing, is it worth the money?

Patagonia is not only a region situated in Argentina and Chile that integrates the southwest sections of the Andes Mountains but also a popular outdoor clothing company specialising in clothing, accessories and luggage. The company name of Patagonia came about in 1972 inspired from the beautiful yet rugged, natural landscape of this far away place.

When I think of “Patagonia” the brand, I think of kids ski clothing as well as men’s and women’s outdoor gear. The winter wear is so well made and has a great reputation for quality, style, reliability, durability and comfort. The clothing range might me a bit more expensive than those brands on the high street; however it is competitively priced along side other such brands as Rohan, Columbia, The North Face and Rab. If you’re looking for a good quality, stylish product built to last then Patagonia is definitely worth the money.

Then why choose Patagonia over the competition? As well as providing a fantastic clothing range, Patagonia, has dedicated much of it’s time and manpower to tackling and bringing awareness to global environmental concerns. The company’s mission statement goes something like this: “To build the best product causing no unnecessary harm, to use business to inspire & implement a solution to the environmental crisis.” In essence Patagonia try to ensure that their products are produced under safe, fair, legal and humane working conditions.

So, when we think of our kids ski clothing, a Patagonia snow suit or ski jacket, would be made from 100% recycled fabric, no harmful dyes, all ethically sourced products, put together by a happy workforce.

Patagonia is involved in many environmental campaigns, the most recent “our common waters”, the threat to animals and plants from human consumption of water. Patagonia have stated that “ planet earth faces a fresh water crisis, by the year 2025 human demand for water will account for 70% of all available freshwater. They believe that making people aware and businesses aware of the issues caused by man, together we can all make a difference with regard to the environment. Businesses need to come together to lead the initiative to reduce harm to the planet, investing in innovative technology, sourcing their products safely with no harm to the environment, social impacts such as the local community, the labour force, reducing the amount of waste etc.

.

Patagonia is truly an inspirational company, a company that anyone would be proud to work for and a company anyone would be proud to wear their products. If we go back to the fore mentioned kids ski clothing, a particular product range has had rave reviews and it is clear to see why. The “Patagonia Down Sweater Jacket” available in toddler sizes age 2-6 and kids sizes age 7 and upwards. Available in an array of colours, this jacket is fantastic value for money. Made from water resistant shell fabric, (100% recycled polyester shell), it is lightweight, wind proof, high tear strength, treated with a durable water repellent, made with European goose down for a comfy quilt construction, with nylon bound elastic cuffs and draw cord hem to seal the warmth in and keep the draft out. This is the ultimate in kids ski clothing, kids walking and outdoor gear, cold weather gear and for general winter use.

A good selection of the Patagonia range for toddlers is available at www.allweatherbabystore.com; you’ll find all the winter wear and kids ski clothing including the “Down sweater jacket” under the snow wear section.

What you should know about Columbia kids ski clothing.

When it comes to keeping ourselves and especially our kids warm, whether we are going on a ski trip, a cold winters walk or just out and about on a cold day, it is essential we are wearing the right clothing. For the long winter months nothing could be more suitable than Columbia kids ski clothing as well as Columbia jackets and outerwear for adults too.

Columbia clothing is by far the leader of all the competition in the outdoor clothing industry. Quality, comfort, practicality, colourful , fun, durable, cutting edge, are just a few of the words to describe the excellent standard of their kids ski clothing and their products in general.

It all started in1938 as a hat company, then in 1960, Columbia hat company became Columbia sports company. A family business based in Great Pacific, Northwest, set out to create an outdoor clothing range accessible to everyone. They describe themselves as real people who are passionate about the outdoors.  Over the years Columbia has gone from strength to strength creating a product that is now available worldwide and is a household name.

Columbia acquired brands such as Sorel in 2000(you may know these for their excellent winter boots for adults and kids), also Mountain Hardwear in 2004 and Montrail and Pacific Trail in 2006. Acquiring these hugely successful brands in their own right gives them an excellent all round portfolio, from footwear to climbing and walking gear, to camping and hiking essentials. These have been blended with Columbia’s already huge outdoor clothing range and ever popular and expanding kids ski clothing range.

However, as well as having great clothing and essentials for the outdoors and catering for all activities, Columbia is forever redesigning and creating clothing not only to look and feel good but to protect against the elements. Some of the technologies they have developed are Omni- shade, Omni heat, Omni dry, Omni shield, Out-dry and many more. Omni-shade is a technology inbuilt into the clothing to prevent damaging UV rays from reaching the skin. Omni-heat is a technology used in the lining of the jackets, a series of silver dots which reflects body heat to make the breathable lining 20% warmer than ordinary jackets. These are just two of the many technologies that Columbia have developed over the years and are continuing to introduce more into their range.

This said you can see why many parents choose Columbia, year in year out for their kids ski clothing. I personally have purchased two of the Columbia snuggly bunny down bunting snowsuits for my toddler, Sebastian. When he was 6 months he had a navy blue one for our ski trip to France and again the year after a red one in 18m. As he is growing, I do like everyone with kids, have to buy a new one every year, but I will not compromise on quality and comfort for a cheaper unknown brand which I cannot trust. I have kept these snowsuits as they are in perfect condition and are suitable for another child. Even though these snow suits were bought for the slopes, the winter in the UK can be harsh and Sebastian wore his all through the winter at home.

For this winter and the 2012 ski trip Sebastian will be needing separates, so a jacket and trouser set. I have already been looking and again Columbia comes up trumps for kids ski clothing. They have a great selection of girls and boys 2 piece sets for 2-6 year olds.

So in Summary, from my personal experience and the words of many happy customers who have purchased Columbia kids ski clothing at  www.allweatherbabystore.com , buy Columbia high quality performance products and stay comfortable and protected, no matter where you are.

                        Why Buy Baby Snowsuits

Toddler ski suits are essential for children to spend outdoors in the snow. When buying one, it must be age appropriate and comfortable. A toddler is from one to three years old. Many parents may choose snow wear base on the outfit being cute. There are certain things to consider when buying snow wear. It should be easy to put on and take off especially if the child is being potty trained.

The winter months can be rough for children because of the possibility of getting a cold or the flu. The hands and feet must be protected when out in the weather. Snowsuits are very popular with parents because of keeping the body warm in harsh conditions. A one-piece is very warm because it covers the hands and feet.

Many parents find the two-piece snowsuit to be more practical. The pieces can vary, but comes with pants, 2 bibs and a jacket. The coat can be worn at any time and the bibs are great for when snowing outside.

The choice of clothing has a lot to do with the activity. One-pieces are best when spending a lot of time skiing or playing in the snow. A two piece can be worn every day or when planning to spend a short time outside. The child will need warm clothing for wearing on a daily basis as well.

The one-piece suit is great when bicycling or camping outside. There are snowsuits made of water-resistant polyester and goose down insulation. They are usually light-weight and still very warm. Parents also need to make sure enough room is in the foot and hand area. Full-length zipper entry is a great feature because of easy removal for changing diapers and going to the potty.

Many children are able to travel while wearing the snowsuit and fit in the car seat without any problems. The bulkiness of it depends on the brand. If the child is going to be using the suits for trips, then you want to make sure he or she is comfortable. Another option is buying the insulated jacket for outdoor activities. The jackets can be worn at any time not just when it is snowing outside. It can also be layered with other clothing for keeping extra warm.

Most families are looking to save when it comes to shopping for winter clothing for their children. If you are planning a ski trip or going to the mountains, then warm clothes are required for these activities. Parents can save by shopping on clearance, finding discounts and shopping online. Online stores have a larger selection and quantity to choose from than local stores.

It helps to shop early and write down a list of clothing items for schedule activities. The clothing should be a necessity and something the child can grow into because toddlers are always growing. Snowsuits can last for a couple of years if bought a size larger. Children who are attending school will need more than one jacket when wearing one on a daily basis. Toddler ski suits are available in bright colors and great for outdoor activities.

Find a fabulous and distinctive line of kids ski clothing that is durable and cute! When you are searching for toddler ski suits  you can find great ones easily now!
